What Does it Mean to Be a Real Man?

For a long time, I didn’t know what it meant to be a real man.

Trauma, abuse, bullying, and negative, disempowering, intense experiences from my childhood left me, at 30, believing that being a man meant:

Making millions. Striving to prove myself. Getting revenge. Being angry. Puffing up my chest. Being tough. Chasing fame and recognition.

That was just to name a few.

In reality, I was…

A 30-year-old scared and hurt little boy who was not dealing with my past hurts, not being brave and vulnerable, and not opening up to be healed and transformed.

When I was called out about this in my early 30’s, I decided to take a journey, make a change, and pursue and discover what true and Godly manhood is.

Throughout this journey, I discovered a few things and made some observations that I shared with Cartwright Morris on the Men Are Forged podcast. Click here to listen to all the things I learned and implemented into my life, leadership, family, business, faith and journey.

I am still on this journey. Life, leadership, business and manhood is a journey.  Do not take it alone.  Take that first step and click here. Let’s take this journey together.  I am with you every step of the way.

Remember this:

I love you.

I believe in you.

You’ve got this.

Go get it!

If you know of any men who may be where I was, and they are fed up, needing to be called out, and are ready to make a change, please share this with them.

On another note, if you woudl like to join me and a small group of men looking to explore our stories, share our struggles, recast our visions and declare what it holding us back, then attack things heads on, click here to learn more about the Gentle Art of Leadership Men’s Morning Mastermind.
