Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone

As business owners, each morning presents us with the challenge of expanding our company and propelling it forward. Along the journey, unexpected issues arise and barriers obstruct our progress. Despite our aversion to them, these challenges, which I refer to as adversity, are essential for entrepreneurs and anyone aspiring to succeed in life, commerce, and leadership.
Just beyond tough times, entrepreneurs truly show what they’re made of. It’s in these moments that success takes shape. As humans, we often stick to what’s comfortable, where we feel safe and sure of ourselves.
The other side of this comfort zone is scary, outcomes are unknown and fear exists. Many people will never step to this side to experience, manage and conquer this fear. Adversity presents itself in our lives so we can be placed in an areas where we must be resourceful, creative and fight and face fear head on.
Once we conquer that fear, our comfort zone gets bigger. We start to believe we can handle and accomplish things in parts of our lives we haven’t explored before. Facing challenges is bound to happen and necessary, even if it doesn’t match our plans.
During my journey, I have learned the most about myself from experiencing massive adversity. I encourage you to lean into it, appreciate it, and learn from it.
